Miike Snow - Pretender (Deniz Koyu Remix)

Deniz Koyu is another producer that has been on the rise in 2012. The German-born Turk has already released original productions such as the heavily supported "Bong" and "Follow You". Now, he's back on remix duties as he follows up his take on Zedd's "Spectrum" with the remix of Miike Snow's "Pretender". It will be hard to beat out Dirty South and Thomas Gold's remixes of other Miike Snow songs, but Deniz Koyu still did a good job with his light-sounding chords and signature bass line.

Myon & Shane 54 – International Departures 147

S2L favourite, Myon & Shane 54 has taken time off from touring this summer and focused on their production side of things. The quality of music in their International Departures podcast recently has obviously increased with the addition of their multiple "Summer of Love" mixes. This episode includes such remixes for their own track, "The Great Divide", Markus Schulz's "Love Rain Down", and Aruna's "Save The Day". The Hungarian duo just never seems to disappoint!

Dankann - Unika (Antillas Rework)

I have no idea what sub genre to list Antillas' rework of "Unika". It is a sublime mixture of progressive house and trance, and maybe if this was the way that the so called 'trouse' genre had been heading it may have had some more success. "Unika" is uplifting, energizing, and ultimately, hypnotizing. Antillas has created yet another fantastic track.

S2L Mix #12

We apologize for continuously switching the location that the mixes are on, but we have been having trouble with amount of uploads allowed amongst several other problems. We have seemingly found the solution with Mixcrate; however, it does not yet have the ability to embed the player. Therefore, until they update we will only be able to post the link for now. On the bright side, it looks like unlimited uploads and free downloads, so we will also try to upload the previous mixes as well that some of you may have missed.

This mix is a lot more laid-back than usual, mostly featuring progressive and progressive trance. It is without a doubt my favorite so far, and it was a devil to pick Top Track for, so be sure to check it out!

Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin - Don't You Worry Child (Original Mix)

It is still hard to believe that the Swedish super trio are coming to an end. Swedish House Mafia finally releases their last single, "Don't You Worry Child". It features the vocals of John Martin, who also did the vocals for "Save The World", with both soft piano chords and the distinctive Swedish House Mafia big-room feel chords. Hopefully each of the three of them will continue to produce tracks of this level with their own individual projects!

Fady & Mina - Kepler 22 (Andrew Rayel Aether Remix)

Andrew Rayel is definitely the breakout producer of 2012 for me. Every production he has released so far has not disappointed me, and he just does not stop producing. He already has trance anthems such as, "Aeon of Revenge" and "550 Senta" under his belt. Once again, he delivers with the remix of Fady & Mina's "Kepler 22" this week. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Soundprank - Evol (Original Mix)

Soundprank's remix of "One Thousand Suns" might be the track of the year for me so far. However, other releases such as the remix of Velvetine's "The Great Divide" haven't been nearly as good as the perfection he seemed to achieve with "One Thousand Suns". However, "Evol" is a step in the right direct as well as a great progressive trance track that really fits in with the music that I am currently loving(hint hint for S2L Mix #12).

PSY Vs. Wezz Devall - GANGNAM STYLE (Vance Lawrence Bootleg)

S2L favorite Wezz Devall meets everyone's favorite PSY, because why not?

For those who wish to hear the Wezz Devall remix with somewhat more fitting vocals:

Katy Perry - Wide Awake (Mike Sonar Bootleg Remix)

"Wide Awake" is another song that has been seeing a lot of air time lately on all of the main radio shows. The first time I heard this, I had no idea it was a bootleg of a Katy Perry song. Although the original isn't too shabby either, the Mike Sonar bootleg of "Wide Awake" is simply stellar. Relaxing yet uplifting, its everything that you could want out of a progressive trance song. Hopefully, in time, all pop songs can be (or remixed to be) as good as this.

Armin van Buuren feat. Ana Criado - I'll Listen (Original Mix)

While hosting the prominent A State of Trance and also able to create amazing productions, there really is nobody like Armin van Buuren. Another collaboration with Ana Criado, "I'll Listen" is released within Universal Religion Chapter 6 and will act as a follow up to "Suddenly Summer". The vocals of this track again fits in perfectly to the great melody and bass-line, hope you like it!

Dinka - Lotus (Johan Vilborg Remix)

Dinka's "Lotus" was remixed by the great new producer Soundprank who had one of the tracks of the year remixing "One Thousand Suns". However, Soundprank was outshone in the remix of "Lotus" by Johan Vilborg and his remix has been featured everywhere, even getting the "Record of the Week" title from Above & Beyond on TATW. The remix of "Lotus" features everything you like in your progressive trance and almost reminds me of the old Arty. "Lotus" is a must listen and hopefully we will see more of Johan Vilborg in the future.

S2L Mix #11

Sorry for the delay! This mix has been ready for a few weeks now but we have been trying to figure out the best place to upload the mixes. We found a good new site that we hope to start using soon, but for now here is Mix #11 on Soundcloud. Enjoy!

Bonus: Some of our friends(from the London half) are also working on a music blog at: http://tenochtitune.blogspot.co.uk. The music is a bit more experimental and covers many more genres including electronic and house but also branching out into rap and other kinds of music. So if you need a break from progressive and trance(which you shouldn't but just in case) be sure to check out Tenochtitune.

Tritonal - Ziziki (Estiva Remix)

The remix album for Tritonal's "Piercing the Quiet" was just released last week. There are so many amazing tunes off this album and this is just one of them. Estiva's retake on Tritonal's Ziziki has already been supported by many other producers so be sure to check out the other tracks on the album!

Velvetine - The Great Divide (Original Mix)

The joint project of Myon & Shane 54 and vocalist Aruna, Velvetine, makes their long-awaited return to the Anjunabeats label. Their last track was the amazing vocal trance track "Safe (Wherever You Are)", and this time they do not disappoint. "The Great Divide" is "loaded with emotion, cinematic musicality and classy club grooves" as Anjunabeats describes it. Be on the watch out as there will be a remix package consisting of Myon & Shane 54 Summer of Love, Soundprank, and Seven Lions remixes!
